Guided Questions
1. What type of art did you use
to enjoy when you were a child, and now, how has your taste changed?
When I was a child, I used to
enjoy drawing cartoons and simple sketches. Now, my taste has changed a lot,
and I prefer more realistic paintings and photography because I can appreciate
the details and the emotions they express.
2. How long have you followed a
specific author or artist?
I have followed the work of
Fernando Botero for almost five years. I admire how he represents Colombian
culture through his unique, voluminous style.
3. Which is more expressive:
painting or sculpture?
In my opinion, painting is more
expressive because it uses color and light to convey emotions instantly, while
sculpture requires more time to explore from different angles to fully
understand its meaning.
4. What is the most challenging
physical activity you have ever done for your health?
The most challenging physical
activity I have ever done was running a 10-kilometer race. It required a lot of
discipline and training, but it taught me about perseverance and self-care.
5. What had you learned about
art before you visited a museum?
Before visiting a museum, I had
already learned some basic concepts about art movements, like Impressionism and
Cubism, through books and documentaries.
6. Do people prefer visiting
galleries or reading about artists online?
I think it depends on the
person, but many people nowadays prefer reading about artists online because
it's faster and more accessible, even though visiting a gallery offers a more
authentic experience.
Conclusion
In conclusion, this activity has allowed me to reflect on
the importance of art and culture in our lives. I have learned that artistic
expressions such as music, painting, sculpture, literature, and movies can help
us understand different people, societies, and cultures.
I have also had the opportunity to talk about my personal
experiences and preferences while practicing my English communication skills.
Creating Artistic Voices has been an interesting experience
because it has helped me improve my vocabulary, pronunciation, and confidence
when expressing my ideas in English.
Art is a universal language that connects people and allows
us to share emotions, ideas, and experiences. For this reason, I believe that
learning about art and culture is an important way to understand and appreciate
the world around us.
